Kathy is a wife to Bobby of 36 1/2 years, mother to Lauren and John, and "Mammy" (as she was so affectionately named by her granddaughter when she was learning to talk) to Kylie and Anna. She loves being a wife and mother, but there is nothing quite like being a grandmother to 2 wonderful girls! Family is her first priority in life.Kathy has a neice, Brooklyn, who is a sophomore at Virginia Tech...and thus has become a big HOKIES fan.
Kathy is a avid photographer and owns a business called "Moments In Time Photography". She hangs some of her photographs at bluedogart Gallery, a local gallery in Buena Vista.
Kathy labels herself as very much of a "do it yourself-er" learning awhile ago that was the best way to get it done! She has initiated and very much been a part of home improvement projects at her home such as installing laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms, tiling 2 bathrooms and the kitchen, painting, and installing railing on her deck. She has also made frames for some of her photographs.
Kathy considers herself somewhat of a crafty person and has at one time or another done scrap booking, jewelry making, stained glass window painting, and knitting. She always has crafty supplies around for the girls!
Kathy loves browsing antique malls and flea markets and thinks that is the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon looking for photo props, vintage crocks, and pitchers to add to her collection.
